Os vencedores do “Billboard Touring Awards 2012”, premiação da Billboard dedicado exclusivamente à turnês, foram conhecidos na noite desta quinta-feira (08) no Roosevelt Hotel, em New York.
Roger Waters, do Pink Floyd, levou a categoria mais importante pela turnê “The Wall Live”. Bruce Springsteen, Neil Diamond e o grupo country Lady Antebellum também foram premiados. Lady Gaga ganhou a única votação popular da premiação e levou o “Fans’ Choice Award”.
O tributo do Cirque du Soleil a Michael Jackson também não passou despercebido e foi agraciado com a vitória na categoria “Creative Content Award”.
