Carrie Underwood e Jason Aldean receberam os prêmios mais importantes do American Country Music Awards 2011 realizado na noite desta segunda-feira, 05. A ganhadora da edição de 2004 do American Idol levou para casa o prêmio de Artista Feminina do Ano, Single do Ano de uma Artista Feminina e Videoclipe de uma Artista Feminina.
Já Jason levou para casa seis troféus em forma de guitarra: Álbum do Ano, Artista do Ano, Single do Ano de um Artista Masculino, Turnê, Vídeo do Ano e Colaboração do Ano por “Don’t You Wanna Stay” – parceria com Kelly Clarkson. Outro Idol vencedor foi Scotty McCreeey que levou a categoria de Revelação. Jordin Sparks, Lauren Alaina e The Band Perry também compareceram ao evento.
