O cantor Bono Vox, da banda irlandesa U2, decidiu comemorar seus 60 anos com uma lista de músicas que “salvaram sua vida”. A lista, publicada no site oficial da banda, traz “Chasing Pavements” da Adele, “Freedom” da Beyoncé, “Born This Way” da Lady Gaga e até “everything i wanted” da adolescente Billie Eilish.
“Essas são algumas das músicas que salvaram a minha vida. As que não poderia ter vivido sem. As que me levaram a diversos lugares, do 0 aos 60 anos. Durante todos os arranhões, todos os tipos de aborrecimentos, da seriedade até à brincadeira, e durante a alegria, principalmente na alegria. Eu gostaria de agradecer aos artistas e todo mundo que ajudou a fazê-las”, publicou Bono.
Ele também teceu comentários sobre algumas das faixa selecionadas. Sobre “everything i wanted”, da Billie Eilish: escreveu: “entro na sua música e é uma beleza negra, incrivelmente vulnerável e aterrorizante, destemida e preocupante”.
