A iTunes Store iniciou suas atividades em 28 de abril de 2003 e provou a viabilidade da venda de músicas por download, tornando-se a maior loja da categoria no planeta.
Recentemente, o iTunes divulgou a lista das músicas mais baixadas da história da loja, desde sua criação até o dia 11 de fevereiro. Segue a lista:
