A Billboard divulgou na manhã desta quarta-feira (9) os indicados às 40 categorias do Billboard Music Awards 2014, que será realizado no dia 18 de maio e com transmissão ao vivo para os Estados Unidos pela ABC. Outra informação anunciada durante o programa “Good Morning America” é a atração musical de Jason Derulo.
Imagine Dragons e Lorde lideram as indicações com 12 citações cada. Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry e Macklemore & Ryan Lewis vem na sequência com 11, 10 e 8 categorias respectivamente. De acordo com a Billboard, as indicações foram baseadas nas paradas da revista entre 11 de março de 2013 e 9 de março de 2014.
Os fãs podem votar apenas na categoria de Milestone, com Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Luke Bryan, Ellie Goulding e Carrie Underwood nas indicações. Os seis nomes serão reduzidos a apenas três no dia 21 de abril. O prêmio será entregue por Kelly Rowland.
