Não deve ser surpresa para ninguém, mas o álbum “21”, da Adele, é oficialmente o disco mais vendido do milênio no Reino Unido – até o momento, claro.
De acordo com a Official Charts Company, empresa que faz a contagem e divulga semanalmente o ranking no UK, o último disco lançado pela cantora vendeu quase 4,7 milhões de cópias. Amy Winehouse vem em seguida com 3,5 milhões de cópias vendidas do “Black to Black”. James Blunt tem o terceiro álbum mais comprado pelos britânicos com 3,3 milhões de cópias do “Back to Bedlam”.
Apenas dois discos lançados antes dos anos 2000 estão na lista: “White Ladder”, do David Gray, e a coletânea de sucessos do grupo ABBA.
Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake e Leona Lewis aparecem também na lista. Confira o Top 50:
